Rydel Lynch started her career in 2008. She appeared as a member of the Crossroads Choir in the musical film “Sunday School Musical”. In the film, she was seen dancing with her elder brother Riker Lynch. In 2009, she founded R5 along with her brothers and family friend Eglinton Ratliff.

In 2010 she was featured as a cheerleader in the musical film School Girls. In 2011 she played one of the Holly’s Kids in the short film A Day as Holly’s Kids. R5 and Hollywood Records agreed to a contract in 2012. She regularly performed a cover of “Call Me Maybe” during her 10-date West Coast tour. R5 launched a four-song EP called Loud in early 2013.

The band’s second full-length album “Sometime Last Night” was released in 2015. Rydell performed live at the American Music Awards pre-show and Good Morning America. The album includes the song Lightning Strikes, sung by Rydell Lynch. R5 disbanded in 2018, shortly after releasing a YouTube video called “The Last Show”.
