Falguni Family

Falguni was born and raised in a Gujarati family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her mother helped her businessman father run a small bearing company. In 1987, Falguni Nayar married Sanjay Nayar, whom she met while studying in business school. He is the CEO of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts India. She has two children: Advait Nayar, CEO of Nike Fashion, and Anchit Nayar, who oversees retail and e-commerce businesses.

Career

Falguni started her career with Kotak. Nair joined the Kotak Mahindra Group for 19 years. She worked as a mission investor and dealer in Kotak Mahindra Bank. In 2005, she joined the group’s venture Saving Cash Enterprise as Managing Director. She worked in Kotak Mahindra Bank Financial Institute for about 20 years.

Falguni starts her own business. Inspired by her father’s use, she decided to start her own corporation. Marketers like Ronnie Screwvala of UTV and Ajay Bijli of PVR Cinemas. In 2012, she ended her activities and decided to move on. India needed an online platform. She launched an e-commerce platform called Nykaa to bring it to India.
